The Stars Must Be Aligned

I lay here mesmerised by the sky so immense, Observing the stars that are so dense. The stars must be aligned in this heavenly bliss, However, I know just by looking, that one is amiss. Save for those we use, as a birth sign, Some remain scattered and cannot align. Because of this particular star so delicate and cherished, A star that one’s desires are purposefully wished. I know this star is meant for me, To admire and only for me to see. I gaze upon it for a while, And it’s warm radiance leaves me with a smile. How do I know one is missing may ask? To count all those stars would be an impossible task.
