The Stars and the Sea

The Stars and the Sea

I have not been loved
but there are many like me
nor had a life long friend
It's just how it turned out to be

I've seen many oceans and lands so far
I'm glad for the chance to gaze at the stars

Such beautiful people
I met along the way
the fragrances of all life in my heart will stay

I remember the colors of rocks stained white
and a billie who climbs them with sheer delight

I'm like the rover, the rover today
and again I will soon be on my way

It's been a strange road at times but free
I'm glad for the chance to gaze at the stars and the sea
