The Spring of Our Love

The Spring of Our Love

Rhythmic beats of our hearts
Together we skip the arithmetic class
Holding hands, synchronised nimble steps
Childish grins on our faces, bright are eyes
This was the spring of our love.
Our path jeweled by rhododendrons
Smooth were our lives, pickles were for lunch
Not for life.
Then life began. Real life as we know it today.
Arithmetic was no longer the only complexity
Making a living with arithmetic was
The complexity.
Still we are happy. We are happy still.
