The Sprigs and Spirit of Sistine -3

What have you two done,
I can see the age in your faces already,
oh you're so bold and smart
you silly and naive creatures,
sure, I sheltered you
kept you away from violence, jealousy, and pain,
do you have any idea what happens
in the raw evolution of life,
have you ever witnessed death
can you even conceive it, huh,
you're gonna feel the fire of rage
and the panic of embarrassment,
you're gonna wake in the frost of depression
and age into the shadows,
you're gonna fight for everything
that you need and love
and sometimes even that won't be enough
you and your children are going to hurt and be hurt
in ways that you can't believe,
my darlings, I love you,
but your natures have been changed
from roses to razors,
you will become grotesque gods unto yourselves,
however,
in the wilderness,
you will be able to create, to care, to love
but it will be so hard for you,
so hard to keep your hearts alive,
I'll be with you always,
your eyes are open to judgment now,
go on to the other side...

Letting the world know ~ and wake them to reality. I really felt “ from roses to razors, you will become grotesque gods unto yourselves, however, in the wilderness, you will be able to create, to care, to love” who writes roses to razors? Seriously! The wordplay there and the uniqueness of it! Hmm! Left me needing more! Pleasure readin ~ Perfect bedtime read Sending you light always ~

Dear Justin I always say it in comments to you, that you are so very versatile! You dont only touch various themes and subjects, but also how you adapt linguistically to deliver something fitting for the concept of your write is very impressive! I like how this flows so very well! Ugh! You should write a novel! I would probably finish reading it then in 24 hours cus of how addictive your words are also how they just are so easy to read and get immersed in! And it feels like a wisemans words ~

Sometimes great inspiration finds the Artist. I have been moved by Inspirations that needed my heart. My heart as well, at these times of composition needed them. Your feelings are sweet to me Poetess. If I ever write a novel it will of a love story...J.A.B.

Justin, this part is devastating in its beauty--like hearing the heartbreak of a parent forced to let go. “From roses to razors” stunned me--what a sharp, unforgettable turn. You’ve given the Fall a voice full of sorrow, wrath, and reluctant grace. The weight of love and consequence here is biblical in every sense.

The lament is indeed palpable herein Alesia. The consequences spark into the most remote nerves of shattered innocence...J.A.B.

"you're gonna fight for everything that you need and love and sometimes even that won't be enough" ah, such a curse of humanity. Onto the other side they go... Always, Laura

Justice, and injustice are sometimes ill defined, and often very difficult to understand and respond to prudently Poetess. Only the deeply wicked shun justice, caring not for it's calculus. Justice has a terrible way of being ambiguous in our minds, and amorphous in observable effect. As I've said before, we only have the right to fight to live, we do not have an inherent right to life after birth...J.A.B.
