The Spot On My Nose

I look in the mirror and what do I see? A spot, the size of Vesuvius, where my nose should be. It came out of nowhere, how can that be? The Gods must surely have it in for me!! With a cry of dismay my wife asks, ‘What’s wrong?’ As if somehow my nose doesn’t belong. ‘Can’t you see?’ I reply, almost headstrong, ‘This spot is so big, as big as King Kong?’ ‘What spot’ she replies with a shake of the head, ‘A fuss over nothing, anyway it’s time for bed!’ ‘Not yet’ I replied ‘dealing with this instead, In the hope that tomorrow this spot I can shed!’ With a squeeze and a groan, I try hard to burst, The spot which is becoming a confounded curse. After an hour, the damn thing looks worse, Which is kind of ironic as I wasn’t coerced. I look in the mirror and what do I see? A silly old fool who looks something like me!
