The Spirit of Fear

The Spirit of Fear “7 For the Spirit God gave us does not make us timid, but gives us power, love and self-discipline.” Rev 21:1-5 NIV The enemy attacks me with fear And to that he adds confusion, But when I surrender it all to God, I am filled with heavenly wisdom. God gives me purity of thought And peace of mind as well. He puts my life back in order And cancels Satan’s mean spell. The Spirit of Fear is enmity To my Father and His righteousness. It cancels out my relationship with the Lord And blots out my peacefulness. God’s love is my combatant To the ugly Spirit of Fear. Faith and love are the answer, Bringing peace when heaven is near. I avoid envy and self-seeking That find their roots in evil’s confusion. The Spirit of Fear’s to be laughed at, When with faith I confront its chieftain. God gives me purity of thought And a Spirit that is gentle. When I surrender the battle to Him, He’s my protection and my mantle. The Spirit of Fear is deadly, And it permeates mankind. But when we live at peace with all, No foothold fear can find. Let God’s love fill your soul, So that fear fails to exist. Fear falls into its own darkness, When the love of God persists.
