The Spirit of Christmas

Christmas finds a way to us,
It fills our hearts with joy, laughter and fun,
It weakens the limbs of sadness and gloom,
It disperses every heaviness.

Christmas is a time to share and give,
No one lies in wait for the crumbs that fall off the master's table,
There's no hoarding and amassing for tomorrow’s pleasures,
We are held by yuletide's boundless love.

The fragrance of Christmas pervades every home,
It’s light halos people and places,
Its beauty is seen like flowers in spring,
Its glory radiates like the sun in summer.

Songs are sung in churches and street corners,
To hail the birth of the incarnate deity,
Born to rid the world of the shackles of midnight,
And to cleanse the world from every ill.
