The Sparrow's Sad Song

Lost his mate,
Sits on a branch all day
Singing to her
Though she's gone

Squirrel,
In obvious distress
Her mate flattened in a street
Such devotion
Though he's gone

I guess it's the way of the world
We all mourn our losses
We all grieve our dead

I guess it's the way of the world.
