The Sound of Silence

there is nothing
left to say
perhaps the silence
is all we need to hear
each word 
one word too many

attempts to justify
half truths
and full lies

you ask for truth
to be declared out loud
I have spoken 
with each kiss
countless whispers 
of my trust in you
