The Soul of Life

Nothing can dim the glow of my tears
those meaningful moments which I still recall.
I find certain joys yet silence in time
With occupying thoughts that always cross my mind.

Along the stream of consciousness, there’s a hidden message.
I may be attentive perhaps, but time creeps so fast
There’s difficulty that hampers me then
a busload of burdens that wrap me till nightfall.

On and off, I turn to gaze at these things
Wholly appreciative that counts twice as much
The richness in spirit opens my heart to beat
Like a dancing note that jumps over the keyboard.
I always take cognizance of all things I cherish
I seem to value more regardless of pains that afflict me
I am strong and truthful to attune my well-being
In this valley of tears, I struggle
And weep not for my fall.

Moving back and fro, I see the rhythm of life
Numerous trials, successes and growing defeats
But I still stand, without regrets nor fears
because this is life that brings love in return.
