The Songbirds of Life
It starts out as a lullaby.
Incandescent,
Halcyon,
Full of felicity.
Tranquil and lithe
As it cascades through
Meadows of enchanting
Sweetness.
But, all too often
In this rhapsodic and crepuscular
World,
Serenity is damaged.
Little by little,
The songbirds of life
Become discouraged,
And lose themselves in their chrysalises of pain.
