The song you gave me
The lyrics I found in me
The music you gave me
The magic you left in me
Time and again I cherish
Mementos and warmth that linger
Your embraces that offer me comfort
In my body I feel your wonder
Keeping myself strong and alive
With your fancy strides I ride inside
Your spirit guides my soul to go on
In open spaces, bleak and cold that divide
Your portrait that dances in my dreams
Your jitters that hum my melody
My music so bold and free
Like glitters radiating in rhapsody
The lyrics you wrote in my heart
The antics you instilled in my mind
The place where you left me alone
The home I filled, bind and grind
The song you sang for me
The song I lived with me
The story in me
My story of exuberance I see
