Have you ever just wanted to hide?

My sanity has crumbled Under the weight of the day If only that old morning sunrise Could just fade to black...and stay 'Cause, if darkness conceals And emptiness heals I'm gonna be alright Ebony melody....Whisper to me 'Til I'm lost in the song of the night Oh sweet refrain of the evening Cover the carnage...she made Give me a reason...for being.... Hi Chuck, Your lyric is so lovely, heartfelt and beautifully expressed. The rhyme and rhythm is sweet, as is your line; Ebony melody... Whisper to me 'Til I'm lost in the song of the night'... Just pure poetic bliss, gorgeous write! :)

This is a great lyric Chuck, loved everything about it, bridge, chorus, so well done, I can picture this as a song. Do you play piano, guitar? Love to hear this with music.

Through darkness comes light and we shouldn't be afraid to take that journey through, even if it is a long one... A very expressive poem and beautifully written, Chuck.
