The Song of Seduction

A subtle change in the rhythm of the breaths taken,
Now that your hand has come to rest on my side.
I forget, for a moment, to breathe at all.
Now a gasp to fill lungs that suddenly feel empty
And that sound becomes the song of seduction
to which our bodies long to dance.

This is how we fall in love
This is how we learn to forget
All that we thought we had to know.
