The Solo Singer

When the rain falls slowly as if we were in Cape Breton
and the bird in the well is singing a solo song of beauty
I long for the days when the sun clapped his mighty ray
on our tanned backs and left us , to our own demise.

The most curious piece of this beautiful poem that makes me want to know more about Cape Breton is "Mystic Rose" - a stage name? I love "the sun clapped his mighty rays....demise." Wonderful poem, Pixie. or should I say Mystic?

Hi Caren, for years I have adopted this name. It is my spiritual healer name, my writers name and my soul name. One day I will go back to it, on site too. Until then a little pixie dust is good for all. Love and Blessings . xo
