Notes About The Poem

The Social Distancing Muse

I speed-dial her again: “Flatten the curve,
O muse - I’m dry from social distancing.”
“Abundance of caution”, she says. The nerve!
I press redial. “Please, help me write! Dance! Sing!”
Alas, my muse is self-isolating.

Oh, I think it is tap-dancing and singing 'Hello my ragtime gaaall' - but only when you're the only one watching! Perfectly pithy poem ;)

Connie, I'm afraid they all talk to each other, lol! I am thankful for the many on Soup who have not lost their muse during this crisis. Thanks for the visit, my friend. Be well ~ John
