I get so annoyed by people who have their phones perpetually attached to their ear or their hand and respond to every ding no matter where they are or with whom. This poem was a quick reminder of that to me.

I see sometimes peoples phone pings and even if youre talking they look at their phone, it control's them, so annoying. Maybe its an age thing lol

I remember when you had to stay home to get a phone call and you didn't know who called until you said hello! (soupmail)

Perhaps if the old answering machine had been the end-all of technology, freeing us up from having to stay at home to wait for a call, that would have been a good stopping point---in retrospect, anyway. :) gw
