The Small Victories

The small victories...
As the small goals are etched,
The bigger picture clearly flourishes,
Piece by piece we see it stick,
The reaping of the seeds as some may call it.

The world begins to thwart away,
at the unstable courage you now have
Of A dream; the first step to reality,
one which you want to see unfold,
before the shimmer of your aspiring heart,
Which knows no bounds, free from hate,
pure as gold it ticks away.
Always getting you closer,
inch by inch, feet by feet.

The consistent progress has a price.
Granted it won't come easy,
Blunders and disasters, the failures and tears,
But the the golden egg it lays in the end,
makes it worth it for every small victory.
