The Sleep I Get

The Sleep I Get! The sleep I get - like spouse, or mate, Or weather -sometimes isn't great, Still, I confess there is a bond, Of vagaries (it seems I'm fond)! Like rainbows, all appear then go, (Self-confident as April snow.) It's true, I'm old and what know I, When dust is Apple in my eye, At least speck's pain creates a need For otherwise, I'm bored indeed! "To feel, to feel," love does pay rent, Though soon we die, it's life's intent! Long Tooth January 27, 2018
