The Sky Was Blue Today

The sky was blue today

Birds flew to cloudless heights,

The warming sun touched my skin

As I was bathed in blinding light.

Fragrant jasmine filled the air

With soporific calm,

Oh, how welcome are

These days of soothing balm.

Every day I sit out on the veranda I feel this Gary. Our house faces South so we enjoy the full arc of the sun while sitting sipping. Lovely write. God Bless. D.
