The Sky Is Falling
you see, the sky is falling down.
the sky is falling down, and i am alone,
and you are across the world,
and your sky -
your sky is still in tact.
there are no intergalactic cracks; your sky is one shooting star after another.
the planets are falling, aligning in a shape that spells your name,
aligning in the shape of your face,
aligning in the shape of something
i couldn’t have.
you see, the sky is falling,
and i am not sure that i can put it back together.
the stars tumble down, and they are dull,
they are broken and shape-less,
and ,
this might be a metaphor.
but sweetheart, the sky is falling,
and i am alone.
sweetheart,
i am afraid the sky has fallen.
