The Sky

The whole sky is white
  No blueness is showing
  Snowflakes are falling
  Spreading to the ground

  Bare trees are coated
  With the warmth of snow
  Bushes are covered
  With patches of snow

  The Evergreen trees
  Decorated wit whiteness
  The wooden fences
  Look brighter with snow

  Sidewalks are deepened
  As the snow falling
  The streets packed with snow
  Time for the snow plough

This is a lovely poem dear Darlene full of wonderful imagery. You have described it so well that it’s easy to picture the snowy scene. Love the lines, ‘ bare trees are coated with the warmth of snow’. It gives a wonderful image of them wrapped in coats of white to cover their bareness. Really enjoyed it. Thank you for sharing. Hugs to you xx

Helllo Maria, it is nice to see you Maria. Yes snow should happen in winter. In December we hardly had snow. Our Christmas was green. No snow fell. Then we had snow for a while. Now it is spring thaw. the snow is melting. Patches of dark brown grass showing now. Love, /Darlene/

Love this, Darlene...especially as we've had a few days like this here, recently. No snow ploughs needed, however.

Hello Jim, you were lucky not to have the snow plough. They come in the early morning to clear the streets. Before the squirrels are up. Enjoy your evening my friend. /Darlene/

Oh, this is such a beautiful and descriptive poem, expressing the imagery about the warmth of snowy scenes, so gorgeously.. You've wonderfully crafted the wordplay here throughout & painted a unique ambience for the reader.. Especially this poem is like a blanket of wintry atmosphere and drapes a cloak of snow upon the universe, in my imagination.. Nicely done! Sending best wishes & light to you..

We have been brutalized by cold and wind but fortunately little snow. But I think that will change quickly on Monday. A wonderful poem, my friend.

Dear Darlene, this paints a serene winter scene, capturing the enchantment of a world blanketed in snow. From bare trees adorned with warmth to evergreens decorated in whiteness, your vivid descriptions evoke a tranquil beauty. The imagery of snowflakes falling and the streets filled with snow creates a visual poetry that transports us to the hushed magic of a snowy day. Your poem is a delightful celebration of winter's quiet charm. I love it! - Blessings, Daniel

Hello Daniel, oh thank you for the love.ly comment. It has been very cold here. Too cold to go anywhere. When it snows like this it takes the snow ploughs longer to clear the streets. some people have a hard time to clear their driveways. in the cold. blessings my friend. /Darlene/

Bravo, Darlene! I derive immense pleasure from your poetic verses capturing the ethereal essence of a sky devoid of any azure hue, while also vividly depicting streets teeming with a blanket of snow. It is now opportune for the snow plow to commence its duty.
