The Skinny

People scoff at "the fat" because being overweight is

not gauche,

It doesn't matter what they wear,

Prada or Coach,

They are alienated like roaches,

Yet, if human beings are too skinny,

They are said to be diseased or

suffering from internal hatred,

Genes and DNA are never considered,

The red alert goes out, with rumours

forecasting their inevitable deaths,

The skinny may only be useful in fashion,

Designers' favorite pets,

hated and despised, because their metabolism

flutters faster than flies,

The envious rumours of drugs that circulate,

can only be born from folks who get a kick

out of berating,

Life is never a picnic for the skinny and feral,

because they are wrongfully scorned by alarmist

shrieking "Anti-Bacterial!"
