The Skin I'M In

The skin I’m in has gotten thin Or more so than it’s ever been. It now contains such glaring veins I wonder what, beneath, remains. A little scratch will soon dispatch A tiny bit of blood to catch Which won’t impede but will succeed In adding worry I don’t need. Another page regarding age Reminds me that I’m at the stage When more and more, what lies in store Is not the me I was before.

This is truly a perfect example as to why I keep coming back to read you ilene. When you've lived as well as you have ilene, it's not a bad thing to be thin skinned. :) This is what you call a two handed typed compliment, not just left handed. :)

This poem applies to me as well, Ilene. If I keep losing weight I will become invisible! To keep my trousers from falling I must now wear a belt, an accessory I rarely did before. Maybe I should consider suspenders instead? I'll be 82 next month, an age I never expected I'd reach, but here I am. / M

Nicely done, but according to Antiques Roadshow, sexy old women attract Big Bucks - and you don't even need a Reservation! Also, keep in mind that ancient sexy posters which have weathered many a storm on an old barn still sell for thousands of dollars! Aloha! Rico
