The Skeptic
On the edge of a moment,
An unspoken prayer
Hesitant, a heart beats,
A feeling blessed, unaware
Rhythms of joy, trembling
As that first kiss
Tests the naked dreams,
A whisper of sweet bliss
Rising beyond starlight
As graceful as the sea
Restoring sparkles of life
A feeling, alive… free
Breathing images, stories
As painful as love remains
Aching beneath the touch
A beauty the shadow blames
Wonders, breaking through
As light inside, on our heals
Inviting as morning’s dew
A story no skeptic conceals
