Notes About The Poem

The Single Red Rose

My husband came inside with love in his eyes,
Carrying a beautiful red rose that was his secret prize.
He said, “Little Babe, look what I have for you…”
It was a flawless red rose still glistening with dew.

Moments like that are frozen in time,
Memories of a love that was at its prime.
Today we have separate lives, but the memory is still sweet.
A single red rose will always make my heart skip a beat.
