Notes About The Poem

The Silent Void

There is a silent void in my heart
That I fear is permanent, and will not depart.
I look at the flowers, but I don’t really appreciate.
Divorce left a black hole that is hard to dissipate.

Don’t look back, everyone is quick to say.
I wish I could not think of him for just one day.
I gave him my heart long ago, and he threw it away.
I have to forget him, or the void will be here to stay.

Yes I bet the relatives don't understand. But I was with him 30 years, not easily forgotten. I have tried dating some, but met a lot of losers. Put it on hold for now. Maybe I will meet someone eventually.

it is so hard to move on....and only God can once again make it strong....because the alternative in my city....is truly a thing of pity....self esteem destroyed....friends and family annoyed....who just want to see you with joy....that's why Love must be built around God and not the boy....very saddening yet inspiring brenda....;)
