The Silent Garden

The autumn leaves begin to lose their light,
A silver hush descends upon the stone,
And shadows hold the garden in the night.

I walk these quiet, turning paths alone,
Where fragrant roses turn to rusted gold,
And all the vibrant summer joy has flown.

The air is thin, and it is growing cold,
Yet in this stillness, secrets are revealed,
A softer, deeper story to unfold.

The final secrets of the year are sealed,
But waiting, sleeping, safe within the earth,
Until the frozen mysteries are healed.

For all the world to see what it is worth,
A silent promise of a future birth.
