The headline news this morning read Ben's tolling drones will be shut down while workers clean the cogs in his head He might even get turned upside down Old Ben will be out of ringing commission for four years there will be peace and quiet No gongs will be ringing in noisy emission Ben's being put on a needed silence diet

So sad that they have to silence Big Ben for four whole years….would love to visit England and see old Ben one day! Nice write and picture Lin!~Che :)

Yes, this is actually a very good thing, He will be in great shape when all is said and done! But He will ring on New Years and other special occasions, probably the Queen's birthday and whatnot! Your poem on this cleaning of Big Ben is quite entertaining, I enjoyed reading this glorious piece this morning! What a beauty, Great Work my friend!!

There has been a public outcry about the silencing of Big Ben but work needs to be done on the bell or it could remain silent forever:-) hugs jan xx

That wouldn't bother me. I have no plans to visit England any time soon.
