The Silence Speaks

And the silence
Speaks words that were never said
Vowing to never be forgotten
Until we lay dead

In the quiet
Our eyes close
Holding in the moment
For what it’s worth
Only to breathe in deeply
To let it go

Outside, in the dark
My gaze wanders afar
What do our futures hold?
No longer bound
But never whole?

Rending a heart
But sealing a mind
Finding ourselves
Now that we’ve found time
