The Silence of the Moment

Standing in the silence of the moment
The bells having rung their last toll

I’m left with the warmth of my memories
And a peace washes over my soul

The sun whispers farewell on the horizon
With life’s book turned to the final page

The creator gives me the signal
It’s time that I exit this stage

Such a peaceful and happily resigned ending. Well written and succinct.
