The Signs of the End - Matthew 24
Beware of false prophets Jesus said
many will be led astray at the end
for many say they are Christ but are not
be true to God's love, please don't bend
Jesus warned of the coming tribulation
which will be on a scale not known before
these days will be cut short for the elect
only our heavenly father knows what's in store
The Son of Man is certainly coming
all of earth will mourn that terrible day
when Jesus comes in power and glory
gathering HIs elect that walks His way
Lessons can be taught from the fig tree
when its leaves show, Christ is near
even as close as being at the gate
so God's word makes this so very clear
No one knows the exact time of arrival
only God in Heaven knows when we're to expect
for the master will come at an unknown time
one thing is certain Jesus will come to collect
His collection will be only for His elect
those that believe and trust in His gospel
the many that reject Christ will be lost
so be sure and ready for His call to tell
