The Sign Of The Times
Abortion on demand when will we understand
We can't get by from just sticking in to the man
There are riots filled with hate in our street
This is not a good place for people to meet
Having lines being drawn in the sand
War zones we call schools the people's tool
Walking zombies with tombstones in their eyes
Does all of this come at a big surprise
It used to be a custom to hold open a door for a neighbor
Today we skip school just to taste a different ice cream flavor
The tender the soul getting lost in rock & roll
Our ancestors were right with blood, sweat & tears in a strife
We are the tool of the government & industry to
The hand writing is on the wall so stand up maybe ten feet tall
Love should be the essence of one's eternal existence
Within a caged fury a text message was sent
We as a nation haven't even made a significant dent
To struggle each day to provide the legal tender
Is it any wonder we got too much time on our hands
One soul soars while the other will soon to burn
A heros message through the lavender breeze
Run to Jesus for he has what's true & fun
No need for nuke's & the stolen gun
Sweltering heat with bloodshed in our street
Bring the troops home no good reason for them to roam
It's the sign of the times the handwriting is on the wall
Pray for your neighbor spread the word from one to all
