The Sign

If there were no trees;
Who would provide the traveler?
With shade and shelter:

Were there was no P N Bank;
The sigh of trust and surety:
To whom could you go?

The way we cut trees,
Let FI's swindle funds from the gullible,
Can we be alive?

Just a display sign;
Take care like the tree or the bank
There is no solace.

Interesting perspective from you Jai ... I've never imagined anything but billboards with movie stars in India ... LOL ... please don't take offense ... anyway, I'm so glad you're here at PoetrySoup and look forward to reading more of your writing. Didn't realize you had been here so long as I can't seem to keep up with everybody ... smile ...

Very good rhyming poetry. It raises humanitarian issues. All the best.
