Notes About The Poem

The Shore - Part 2

I return again to that shore at last,
Not so distant a voice murmurs softly from the past,
Those memorable tones sooth and uplift,
A wave with each breeze offers a welcome back gift.

A grain of sand brings about many more,
As toes wrestle deeply in your bleach white shore,
How should I pray in awe of your sight?
This mighty stroke of art no mortal can enlight.

I peek to hear your subliminal voice,
One of chance and not by choice,
This pure rich nature leaves nothing to endure,
Your methods are solid and your heart is pure.

I prepare again as I make my leave,
What possesses my duty is hard to conceive,
One last kiss seals my vow to return,
To a shore whose whispering waves I yearn.
