''The Shilluk Kingdom and My heart''

I was going to be a Prince
Of Shilluk kingdom today if we
Did not lose our Kingdom-ship.

My mother was going to be a Queen
Today through hereditary succession,
Imagine the honour I would have
Earned today from my people.

Imagine how I was proudly
And bravely going to fight in the battles,
Our kingdom lost all the wealth and life
To no longer Ottoman Empire.

To briefly explain to you how our
Kingdom collapsed, our people were
Affected by military assaults from the
Ottoman Empire, resulting in the
Destruction of the kingdom in the early 1860s.

Our kingdom was an independent
kingdom For more than sixteen
centuries,
Fashoda city was destructed during
Fashoda incident (Britain & France)
now it is not even
Consider a better town in South Sudan.

Though I am originally a Dinka man
Still, Shilluk Kingdom won my heart.
We lost our historical arts from the
15th century,
But all other empires/kingdoms
Have their art histories
from the 15th century.

I am elated to be a descendant of
The Shilluk kingdom, O God bless
Shilluk kingdom and allow them to
re-established back their kingdom.
