The She I Know
The She I Know....
The She I Know presents herself as polished and refined.
A painted smile with lips that hide truth, hurt and insecurities.
The She I Know enjoys the finer things of life.
Her silver coins attempt to hide her loneliness and need to be understood.
The She I Know puts herself first, ahead of husband and child.
Appearances are not always what they seem.
The She I Know listens, but does not hear.
Her selfishness for attention clouds her view of consequences.
The She I Know is easily manipulated with her need to be loved.
She grasps at words not investigating their meaning.
The She I Know uses a quilted pen to justify her actions.
She cuts her nose despite her face.
The She I Know criticizes and passes judgement on wealth and status.
Unfortunately her money cannot buy love or health.
The She I Know has a house but not a home.
Her many barren rooms will echo her womb.
The She I Know has made many errors in judgement.
Only time will tell if the truth will surface, and she will see the borrowed light.
