The shattered hope

The Shattered Hope
Fall in love
Was supposed to be easy
It was supposed to be beautiful
But now it's dark
With dark intentions
With ulterior motives

I thought he said he loved me
I should have known he was like the other
I should have known that it was fake
There's no such thing as true love
There's only pain
Suffering and death

I have now learned to believe that
There's no such thing as that
I will only believe in that
When trees begin to talk
The mountains begin to move
The sun begins to smile
The walls begin to have ears
And when the earth becomes flat

It's better to have no hope
Than to have and for it
To be shattered
I've always been in
An unrequited love
It's never symmetrical
I love; they use
I begin to think
Maybe I am stupid
Maybe I am crazy
To think that a guy can ever
Love a girl like me
A girl with flaws
With claws
With dreams
With hopes
A girl that wishes
That is just different
Being different is supposed to
Be beautiful

Look at what I have now become
Only the broken pieces are remaining
No heart, no desire
I lost hope
I wanted to escape one
But I got caught up in another
I cry and cry
But my voice is never heard
I wish that one day
Someone will see me
For who I truly am
But until then,
My heart is a cold stone
I'm now lost and broken
With shattered hope
