The Shape of Water

Water takes any and many shapes,
in a glass, bowl, pot, vase, tub, sink,
swimming pool. Fruits such as grapes,
plums, melons, left they dry and shrink.
Your body is made up to sixty percent
of water. Water is transparent, tasteless,
odorless, the matter of seventy-one percent
of which the earth is made. Water, made into
steam, water vapor, and begins to fade.
It comes in the form of rain, fog,
its solid-state ice and snow.

A natural flowing watercourse on land,
usually freshwater river. Flowing towards
an ocean, sea, lake or another river.
In some cases, a river flows into the ground
and becomes dry at the end of its course.

This is a great view of the waters on our earth; we need it, it does so much for us. Well crafted penning.

Eve, I like the many forms this poem's subject revealed, and the direction it flowed. A pleasure to read. -Richard

You began your poem well because water has no shape. Best for a win.

Such an interesting look at the forms of water. One thought...sulphur in water causes it to have a terrible odor, but doesn't affect its taste, I think. Nothing like a drink of clear, cold water when you are really thirsty. Good work, Eve. I enjoyed it!
