The Shape of Water
Swoosh, she vacillates in malleable form
as ocean waves or garden hose splashes,
encapsulating life's nautical swarm
and keeping plants fresh with misty dashes.
In a cup, her shape is held gently in place,
until she quenches somebody's thirst.
Intimately, their insides she will trace,
where her cleansing powers become dispersed.
In a pool she permeates the shape of fun
as a backstroke and flutter kick silhouette.
Like diving board jumps, droplets reach for the sun,
impulsive in action, yet always wet.
From skyline heights, she arrives with a rush
as the carving force within ravines.
Sojourning between walls like an artist's brush,
she transforms herself as well as her scenes.
