The shape of nothing
I searched in the dark wanting answers
but darkness only knows how to stare
a silence, looking at an endless doorway
to all the thing I feared.
I yelled into the hollow,
my voice echoed back unknown,
as if all the empty spaces
now knew how to breathe alone
the stars looked dim above me
the ground too far below
all the dreams I carried
they had nowhere to go
so, I stepped beyond the trembling gate
I once watched from afar
past hope I once enjoyed
embrace the void
