The Shadows of a Knight
Hold my mind, for it loiters around
Like a hero knight in majestic wear;
And would it sprint, as the time goes by
Under the reigns; of a sweet, slim one.
There are passions that alight fires in me,
And pressures harsh as they poise me nigh,
Though the tempers may be old and rhythms new;
I wonder at the drives so slight so few.
In the realms of reality do I jog with her
As the tempos of her beats, feathered as they are
Tramp through the wilds in the folds of my heart;
In moments she rides, with passion and glee.
I know the world will move, still as it ages on;
Will the shadows she casts ever sublime.
