The Shadow’s Kiss

I gaze upon a blind world.

The chirping of birds,
The stretching of a cat,
The dancing of blades of grass.

I gaze no longer.
Even if I want to see, nothing is seen.

In the end, everyone has left.

Leaving behind you, whom I trusted,
I take a drag of a cigarette.

Behind my back,
A shadow knocks.

"Do you know why?"

"You never kissed me!"

"You merely gazed at me."
