The Shadow Maker's Dream

With in the sleepy tides of airy dreams
where all of life is but a silhouette.
The Shadow Maker climbs to spill moonbeams
within the hours that lay beyond sunset.

Her magic skeins of serene silver thread
are deftly woven within midnight muse.
The lace of precious wishes fills her head
and thought by thought her mind and muse are fused.

Her dreamtime masterpiece aglow with hope
her inspirations fixed on charcoal suede.
The Shadow Maker’s mind and muse elope
into the realm of light carefully made.

She bows low unto dawn’s opium kiss
and mesmerizes with her sleepy yawn.
She captures Earth within the languid bliss
only the Shadow Maker’s dreams could spawn.
