The Selfish Poet

The Selfish Poet Posts their work, eat comments as if at a feast. But close their pen, when it comes to a reply? Inimitable, arrogance divine! Do they in mirrors all day look? Admiring only their face and poetry? Am joyful to know that most here surely are givers not selfish takers. More than happy, they, to be givers, warm friends and not just partakers. December 1, 2019

Hello Panagiota ... you should only expect back what you give. If you don't give you should not expect to be supported either. A great message Panagiota - Lindsay

yes, I think many who post a lot also reply to others a lot, and that is how it should be, but some do not. Those who do not read other poets' work, shame on them!!

Tell it like it is, woman! Thank you. Another zinger that I don't like is non replies. Off my list. There are too many wonderful poets here. The arrogant ones who never reply...adieu. Nobody has to read anyone. Let freedom and kindness sing. Panagiota. Xx

It is true, we are all here to support each other and would be nice to respond in a balanced way, as best we can :)

I realize we all are busy and have challenges. We can't read everyone....just do the best you can. Have a good day. For me a reply is an encouragement and a warm hug, Have a great day..Heidi! Thank you. Panagiota xx

Panagiota, Very well written. Let your pen be golden sunshine or dreary rain. They both touch the hearts that read. I like to look in the mirror, though don't always like what I see. I, like the selfish poet, find words often abandon me. -Richard

You be who you are. You are not in this class. I, too am at a loss for words at times. As one of the kindest poets here said. One can at least say thank you. I do agree with him. Poems with 60 reads and 4 comments are a blight. Poets have hearts and feelings. How about one another? Some have a ridiculously high number and the poems are weak at best. Some of the most talented here are ignored.i was just encouraging us to have warm hearts.PRxx
