The Seedlings Dream

Waiting for the springtime glow, of the rising sun. Oh, then shall come the sprouting, and the start of all the fun. I will grow, and grow, to reach my height, and fill the world with awe. I will be the greatest flower the universe has ever saw. Yes, it is I, which will fulfill the hopes and dreams of all who hope to see. The potential of that tiny seed, and what it grows to be. I wonder what that glory is, that thing I must achieve. Is it a giant redwood, spreading shade beneath its leaf? Oh, come forth you warming sun, I wish to touch their soul. Oh, come forth you warming sun, I long to fulfill my goal. Oh-oh, reality doth enter, and it be: not a glorious feast. The soil is somewhat rocky, and the rain it is the least. Is not the world perfection, is it they do not care? Over there is so much water, why will they not stop to share. The sun is not caressing, it’s rays they rather burn. If only I survive to seeding, in hopes my children get their turn. God, soon I come to see you, not quite what I hoped to be. I hear you love the children, and I pray that you love me.

Hope springs eternal, but reality can be so cold. Good job of twining these alternate themes. Enjoyed your thoughts!
