The Seed
She herself abandoned
her inner self lost to
someone somewhere
in a shower of dreams...
gifts given from heaven
by her shunned...for
these were not enough...
these gentle reminders
yet ever powerful...buried
pain...
...of how her children came
to be...
the wander of a past
banished...her spirit strew-
embattled...and damaged...
...she conceded her courage
and her conscience...
and settled for self sabotage-
a trail abusive carnage...
...onlooking seeds identified...
her seeds uncontaminated...
yet their lives marred with
emotional discrete...
...the seeds themselves some
planted would through out their
lives retreat...
for two of four no man no woman to
ever come between...
these lessons not ever to repeat
for only sadness does one meet...
...to accept abandon, discard,
or set free...
we survived by regrowrh...this
pain replaced with new seed...
successful loving family...
no man...to bring us under...
no man no woman in between...
born without insight...
my mother prisoner of
her own stupidity...
without selfish incantation...
I will not abandon my legacy
I will not abandon me...
for abandoned, discarded,
call it what you will...
...I embrace with courage...
with good conscience...
...my spirit was set free...
