The Secret Storm
There is a secret storm inside this sleuth
that longs to air like butterflies in spring
if it is grief I dare not face the truth
for I in anger broke it like a wing
Dear heart you had no choice of this I know
as time unwinds me like a handle spine
it takes me back to days when you were mine
hidden in the tri-fold of my soul's Divine
Doth not the rose unfold at its own hour
when butterflies of summer turn to flight
if it is grief that turned these tears to shower
then let acceptance stop to make it right
With every storm there is a calm return
and so it is when secrets crash n' burn.
