The Secret

The truth is out,
It’s finally been said.
It was pushed away,
Like a box under a bed.

She doesn’t want to hear it,
She’s been in denial for so long.
So she will hide behind the drugs,
And pretend that nothing’s wrong.

Their hearts were pure,
Or so we thought.
He changes his story,
Now that he’s been caught.

Her heart is broken,
She’s hurt and alone.
She misses the comfort of him,
His arms were her home.

I’ve told you the truth,
Right down to the T.
I’m done with the drama,
My heart must be free.
