The Seasons

Sweat pours from your face and body Hot days and nights Sometimes make it unbearable Sand runs through your fingers and toes It feels so nice Splash! Cold water from the pool feels so good! The salty ocean and the clear blue lake Brings instant relief to a very warm day The leaves fall sweaters come out pumpkins fill up the neighborhood First day of school jitters Replaced by a warm fireplace glow The chatter of teeth Seeing your breath in the air The holidays come and go Old Lang Syne rings in the New Year Dark days and night gradually begin to disappear Snow melts and grass begins to appear Leaves start to appear on trees Spring breezes fill the air Short sleeves replace long Heavy pants are a thing of the past As trees become full of color
